Members and students from NA Boston had a great day working with
the crew of Habitat For Humanity in Salem in the construction of a

Students from NA spent Labor Day Weekend 2007 in Wilmington, Vermont
a Philosophy Camp. The weekend was full of exciting activities such
as hiking down Mount Snow, in a corn maze, learning western martial

School trip to visit NA in
Montreal (May 2007)
A few of us spent a weekend in May visiting Montreal, catching a class
at the school of NA Montreal, eating some great food and shared laughs
with new found friends. Of course, the beautiful mountain views of
Vermont were a free bonus in the trip. Life really is an adventure
if we give it a chance to surprise us. |

International Women's Day
(March 2007)
On March 8th, 2007, New Acropolis Boston
participated in the celebration of International Womens Day
with the presentation of an inspiring and informative talk on The
Empowerment of Women Through Education. In 2002, Mrs. Bush made the
following remark at the U.N. on the same occasion, Education
is the single most important long-term investment we can make in the
future. For a school of philosophy, this is a constant focus.
As Plato remarked long ago, Education is a lifelong process.
Those who attended the talk were amazed to learn how education is
linked to reducing infant mortality rate, population growth, decreasing
the spread of infectious diseases such as HIV and malaria and generally
increasing health, offering more opportunities to the youth and raising
standards of living.
