Our Founding Principles:

  • To encourage collaboration and cooperation amongst diverse groups and individuals in an effort to make a positive change in the world today,

  • To offer an eclectic approach to better understand ourselves and the world around us by applying timeless and universal principles for effective action today.

  • To promote the discovery of the very best within ourselves and to nurture it in others.

Since the dawn of time, philosophy has played a major role in the development of cities, culture, and leadership. The new challenges of our times call for the return of this source of timeless wisdom, as a driving force in shaping a new and better futre enlightened by humane values. For 50 years, New Acropolis has worked to revive philosophy in the classical tradition, hence contributing to harmonize cultural differences and offering a foundation for active and global peace. Today, hundreds of branches in over 45 countries around the world gather citizen-philosophers passionate about the pursuit of human solidarity.
